Hotel Information

Anyway, we've just gotten our hotel reservation confirmed: We now have 15 rooms, 2 queen beds each (non-smoking) with a maximum of 4 people per room at the lovely Days Inn. I've been there, and the rooms are great. The building has a pool if you'd like a late-night swim, and free high-speed internet if you have a laptop. The rooms are in the same building, but not all right next to each other; if you'd like to get your room next to someone else feel free to ask Days Inn about it.

The final cost for the night of May 3rd (Saturday evening) is $100 after tax; split 2 or 4 ways this is a good price for a hotel near to UCF. The drive is about 5 minutes from UCF; its a 15-20 minute walk if you'd prefer that. If you'd like the room on May 2nd or May 4th as well, that's something you'll have to work out with Days Inn.

To get your room, please call (407)-282-2777. Tell them you're there for the Go Tournament. Check-in time on May 3rd is 3:00 PM or later, so please check in after the Saturday part of the tournament. Check-out time on Sunday is 11:00 AM, which fits our schedule quite well. ***IMPORTANT*** THE ROOMS WILL ONLY BE RESERVED FOR US UNTIL April 14th!!

IF YOU DO NOT GET YOUR ROOM BY THAT DATE THE ROOMS WILL BE RELEASED AND THE PRICE LIKELY RAISED. While you can of course choose a different hotel, I've simply chosen this one as a simple alternative where we can all be together.

I'd highly suggest you get your room ASAP because I don't know how fast they'll be taken. Also, since the weekend of the tournament is near UCF graduation, hotel prices will skyrocket as the date approaches. Below is some additional useful information to know for the tournament:

Parking:
Parking at UCF is pretty simple on weekends. The basic rule is: don't take spots that specifically say "RESERVED" on them. Other than that you'll be fine.

Food:
Coffee, bagels, and some soft drinks will be available in the room. There should also be a few restaurants available inside UCF for lunch/dinner. Please keep in mind that UCF does not allow outside food to be brought into the Student Union (e.g. the building where the tournament is being held in).

Smoking/Drinking:
The Student Union at UCF is a no-smoking environment. If you'd like a drink, there is a restaurant inside UCF called Wackadoos which serves alcohol for those 21+. No alcohol is permitted inside our tournament room.

Keep on preparing for the tournament, and try to pre-register with me if possible!!
